This course will ehlighten you on how many organizations, big and small, private and public, are applying data-driven techniques to assist in making effective and evidence-based decisions to solve problems in the current business and operational environments. Thus excel-based templates are provided to learners to apply the learned knowledge.

Participants here will be introduced to the secondary phase of a problem-solving process which consists of evaluating generated options / solutions to a problem and then making the informed decision along with an action plan to be implemented.

Therefore, this one-day workshop is about selecting the most relevant solution based on data-driven techniques to attend both “Find The Root Cause Of A Problem” and “Making A Decision To Solve Problems” sequentially to gain optimum benefits.

However, this course can be attended independently of “Find The Root Cause of a Problem” if the potential participant has competent knowledge and experience in initiating problem-solving activities within the organization.

  • Understand the need to facilitate and its characteristics
  • Qualify the important criteria in evaluating ideas
  • Apply tools to generate, evaluate and select ideas
  • Conduct effective facilitation - communication
  • Select the most suitable idea based on data
  • Develop an action plan(s) for the selected idea(s)

  • Know the reasons for failure in solving problems

For learners with little or no experience in developing, evaluating and implementing options / solutions to solve a problem in both the private and public sectors.
